Job summary

Komatsu Elko facility in Nevada seeks an experienced HR Generalist to partner with employees, supervisors, and leadership, delivering recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, and talent development in a mining equipment context.

You will support safety programs, policy standardization, onboarding and HRIS data integrity, with a focus on engagement and continuous improvement to strengthen the workplace culture across site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field; preferred but not required.
• At least five years HR experience in employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
• Ability to navigate employment laws and provide guidance in complex HR matters.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for conflict resolution.
• Credibility across organizational levels; collaborative relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion and professionalism with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement HR policies ensuring compliance with laws and business objectives.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to craft precise and compelling job descriptions for recruitment.
• Lead onboarding processes with comprehensive orientation on compensation, benefits, culture, and job expectations.
• Maintain accuracy, security, and confidentiality of HR information systems and records.
• Coordinate reimbursements, incentive programs, and benefits with finance and payroll.
• Ensure HR documentation is compliant and organized across records.
• Generate reports and workforce analytics to monitor HR metrics and trends.
• Champion health, safety, and engagement programs to boost morale.
• Support HR initiatives and technology rollouts through trainings.
• Assist in enforcing safety policies and audits, fostering a proactive safety culture.
• Oversee performance appraisal cycles for hourly employees.
• Leverage training resources for employee development and career growth.
• Contribute to One Komatsu HR policy standardization across sites.
• Ensure secure electronic management of HR documents.
