Qualifications

• Seven+ years in EHS management within mining/industrial environments
• Three+ years of leadership across multiple sites/business units
• Strong knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations
• Proven incident investigation and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Willingness to travel up to 40% regionally

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs across mining sites in the western US.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DOT and related requirements.
• Embed EHS considerations into operational planning with site leadership.
• Oversee risk assessments, safety audits and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions for prevention.
• Develop and deliver role-specific EHS training for supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Manage contractor safety compliance and return-to-work programs with HR.
• Oversee environmental permits, hazardous materials, waste, stormwater, and spill prevention.
• Provide occupational health expertise including hygiene, ergonomics, and hazard assessments.
• Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and respond to findings.
