Job summary

Old Colony Elder Services (OCES) is seeking an HR Generalist to oversee the full employment lifecycle, from staffing and onboarding to ongoing HR support. The role includes coordinating interviews, background checks, and new hire orientation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for staff and volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in HR/recruiting, strong knowledge of employment law, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR/Recruiting experience.
• HR certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive the complete recruiting process using applicant tracking system
• Oversee background check process for all new hires and volunteer staff
• Coach management on effective interviewing skills and selection procedures
• Facilitate/new employee orientation and onboarding
• Foster employee engagement and support employees as needed
• Coordinate recruitment emails daily
• Coordinate the employee exit interview process
• Provide guidance to supervisory staff as needed to support HR initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
