Job summary

Harbor Health Services is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support designated locations from our Mattapan corporate office, with hybrid in-office/remote work. The role emphasizes onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with MA laws.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of HR experience and strong communication skills, with proficiency in HRIS/ATS and MS Office. Travel to Harbor Health sites as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related field with 2–4 years of HR experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
• Ability to influence and partner with all levels of management
• Bi-lingual skills are a plus (English/Spanish, English/Vietnamese, English/Brazilian Portuguese)
• Travel to Harbor Health sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Onboard managers and new hires; determine salary placement; create and issue offer letters; process employment documents
• Manage employee relations and investigations; document outcomes and communicate results
• Handle accommodations interactive process and counsel managers on performance
• Process promotions and reclassifications; maintain personnel files in HRIS
• Create and interpret salary evaluations; support monthly orientation programs
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and participate in audits
