Job summary

This full-time position starts immediately with a competitive hourly rate between $23.00 and $25.50.

Qualifications

• One year of HR and/or office experience preferred.
• Confidentiality of information is essential.
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation preferred.

• Self-motivated with ability to set priorities and work with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to interact with staff, applicants and the community.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and MUNIS; willingness to upgrade skills as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Administer Human Capital Services programs, policies, processes and procedures.
• Process new hire paperwork and processing of substitute applicants.
• Maintain an efficient and organized electronic and paper data filing system, including confidential personnel and medical files.
• Create forms and compile data for district and State data collections.
• Process evaluations for all district employees and ensure they are in personnel files.
• Process verifications for current and past employees including unemployment benefits case management.
• Collaborate with staff in other offices on large or time-sensitive projects or emergencies.
• Answer inquiries regarding District policies, procedures, benefits, and information requests.
• Greet visitors and screen callers per policy.
• Oversee substitute calling system.
• Other duties as assigned by the Office of Human Capital Services.
