Job summary

IFCO is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to deliver high-quality HR support in our service centers, ensuring policy compliance and effective communication among peers, managers, and customers as directed by the HR Manager and General Manager.

The role covers routine HR functions including recruitment and retention, payroll, benefits management, employee relations, workers’ compensation, engagement, and training across the organization. English and Spanish required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Development, or Industrial/Organization Psychology is preferred.
• PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible HR Generalist experience is required.
• Experience in a mid-size (200+ employees), non-union warehouse/distribution center or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of HR duties such as new hire/termination processing, FMLA tracking, workers’ compensation admin, employee recognition programs, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Staffing: work with service centers to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Maintain job descriptions to align with objectives and compensation programs.
• Recruiting and onboarding across the organization.
• Monitor recruiting vendors, sites, and applicant tracking systems.
• Develop and administer compliant HR policies with consistent application.
• Advise management on employee relations matters and resolve issues in coordination with HR Corporate.
• Administer disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Coordinate HR training and development at service centers.
• Promote employee engagement and address retention issues.
• Oversee workers’ compensation processes and claims at service centers.
• Promote and enroll employees in IFCO benefits plans.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports.
• Process hires/terminations in HR systems; ensure data validity.
• Promote policies and programs ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
• Prepare payroll/timekeeping reports and approvals for hourly positions.
