Job summary

Core-Mark is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources programs and policies. The role emphasizes payroll coordination, employee development, and payroll backup in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will partner with management to communicate HR policies, improve processes, and ensure accurate personnel records. A Bachelor's degree with HR experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
• CPHR credential is considered an asset.
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience preferred.
• Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
• Detail oriented with proven administrative capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer HR programs, procedures, and guidelines aligned to company goals.
• Participate in departmental goal setting, meetings, and system development.
• Support workforce policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Assist with performance management systems and employee development programs.
• Establish an in-house training system addressing training needs and onboarding.
• Provide education and materials to managers, maintain training records.
• Coach supervisors and communicate HR policies across management.
• Manage wage and salary monitoring, bonuses, and raises.
• Conduct payroll backup and coordinate with accounting.
• Lead pay studies and participate in salary surveys; staff communications and audits.
