Responsibilities include administering HR programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting the HR department. Located at the SMC site, this role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leaves, disciplinary matters, and performance.
• Handle employee inquiries professionally and refer sensitive matters to HR leadership.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to address organizational needs and personnel changes.
• Attend employee discussions with management regarding performance and discipline.
• Conduct exit interviews, terminations, and new-hire orientation.
• Assist HR leadership with labor-related audits.
• Maintain personnel files and employment documents.
• Respond to unemployment agencies, workers' comp, insurance, etc.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local employment laws.
• Stay updated on HR trends and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
