Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for the Berry Global, Inc. facility in Evansville, IN. The role covers staffing, payroll, benefits, training, and labor relations to support organizational success.

Responsibilities include onboarding, employee relations, data reporting, apprenticeship program management, and maintaining HR system accuracy. Emphasis on confidentiality and compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years HR related experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Extensive knowledge of employment law is required, along with proven ability to apply that knowledge.
• Proven skills: Performance Management, Training Management, Resolving Conflict

Responsibilities

• Implements human resources programs including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and development, records management and employee relations.
• Develops HR solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending actions.
• Improves manager and employee performance by identifying problems, evaluating solutions, and coaching managers and staff.
• Facilitates onboarding for new hires and creates retention plans.
• Maintains accuracy of information in HR and payroll systems (Infinium).
• Manages apprenticeship programs per guidelines for each department.
• Protects organization by keeping information confidential.
• Manages and tracks leaves of absence including FMLA.
• Completes special projects as directed by HR manager with clear objectives and timelines.
