Job summary

CBIZ Talent and Compensation Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in Twinsburg, OH, to support a growing wholesale distribution client. This full-time role covers HR administration, payroll, benefits, and compliance with multi-state requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, payroll processing, benefits administration, and strong knowledge of employment law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, HRM, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
• Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations and HR matters.
• Support managers with performance concerns, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Maintain employee policies, procedures, and handbook content.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including multi-state requirements.
• Manage personnel records and HR documentation.
• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
• Coordinate payroll changes, employee status updates, and reporting requirements.
• Assist with implementation and optimization of HR technology platforms.
• Coordinate recruiting efforts for office, warehouse, and merchandising personnel.
• Manage onboarding and orientation programs.
• Partner with hiring managers to support workforce planning and staffing needs.
• Ensure completion of all new hire documentation and compliance requirements.
• Administer employee benefit programs including health insurance and retirement plans.
• Serve as liaison with external benefits providers.
• Assist employees with benefits inquiries and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement job descriptions and performance evaluation processes.
• Establish performance expectations and accountability measures with leadership.
• Support employee development, coaching, retention, and succession initiatives.
• Assist managers with performance improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance regarding workplace concerns and employee relations matters.
• Investigate and document employee relations issues as needed.
• Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
• Support conflict resolution and recommend appropriate actions.
• Coordinate office operations, vendor relationships, employee events, and general administrative functions.
