Job summary

IMC Metals America/ Ames Copper Group is seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to support payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and onboarding. The role reports to the HR Supervisor and is part of a collaborative team focused on growing the organization.

The successful candidate will manage payroll processing bi-weekly via Paylocity, handle onboarding, and ensure compliance with employment laws. 3–5 years HR experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in HR or business administration or related field required.
• 3–5 years HR experience with payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and benefits.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with HR software/HRIS and ATS systems.
• Knowledge of employment laws (ADA, FMLA, EEO).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
• Handle inquiries from employees and supervisors; assist with investigations as needed.
• Coordinate hiring process: job postings, interviews, candidate assessments.
• Oversee onboarding and new hire orientation; ensure compliance with laws.
• Process I-9 and E-Verify documentation timely.
• Support safety and company policies; promote positive work environment.
• Assist with performance evaluations and Employee of the Month programs.
• Provide reports and participate in HR initiatives and special projects.
