Job summary

Plaid Enterprises, a Georgia-based maker of crafts and educator products, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to oversee daily HR operations and strategic process improvements. You will manage payroll, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS, while ensuring compliance and timely actions across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist/people-operations role.
• Hands-on experience with payroll, onboarding, recruitment, HR compliance, personnel records, and contractor administration.
• Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/PEO platform; familiarity with AI and Microsoft tools preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines with limited oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with discretion to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll and employee data through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
• Serve as primary administrator for Paylocity payroll, benefits, leave, and HRIS questions; coordinate with Paylocity reps.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support benefits enrollment and renewals.
• Own onboarding for new hires and contractors, including forms, system access, and orientation.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Support employee relations and respond to questions on policies, payroll, benefits, and changes.
• Coordinate employee changes and offboarding, including final-pay and access removal.
• Maintain audit-ready HR files and HR workflows, ensuring deadlines and approvals.
