Job summary

Republic Services in Elkhart, IN is seeking an HR Generalist to provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, and policy interpretation to ensure compliant practices across business units.

The role supports onboarding, leaves, accommodations, investigations, and HR data analysis, partnering with managers to develop staffing, training, and talent development while maintaining confidential employee information.

Qualifications

• PHR or SPHR certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and/or recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Provides HR consultation to managers and employees on policy interpretation and issue resolution.
• Disseminates and monitors corporate policies, programs and procedures.
• Oversees onboarding with management to ensure thorough orientation.
• Supports compliance with federal and state laws (FLSA, Work Authorization, FMLA, ADA).
• Monitors and facilitates temporary labor utilization.
• Assists with performance management, coaching, and compensation processes.
• Maintains confidential employee information and participates in investigations and disciplinary actions as needed.
