Job summary

Republic Services HR Generalist provides consultation on performance management, employee relations, workforce planning and policy interpretation to ensure compliant application across units. This role also supports onboarding, leaves, accommodations and HR data analysis.

Responsibilities include advising managers, implementing policies, coordinating onboarding, and assisting with labor utilization and investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• PHR or SPHR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience with emphasis on employee relations and/or recruiting activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides HR consultation and guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation and resolution.
• Disseminates and monitors corporate policies, programs and procedures.
• Oversees onboarding processes to ensure a thorough orientation.
• Supports activities related to federal and state laws (FLSA, Work Authorization, FMLA, ADA).
• Monitors and facilitates temporary labor utilization.
• Partners with managers for performance management, coaching, and compensation planning within company guidelines.
• Assists in department structure, staffing levels, and reporting relationships for efficiency.
• Conducts investigations and participates in disciplinary actions when needed.
• Plans employee engagement activities for assigned units.
• Maintains confidential employee information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
