Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an HR Generalist to provide consultation and guidance on performance management, employee relations, and policy interpretation for assigned business units. The role includes onboarding, leaves, accommodations, and HR data analysis to ensure compliant, consistent practices across the company.

Responsibilities also cover temporary labor utilization, training, and supporting compliance with federal and state laws such as FLSA, FMLA, and ADA.

Qualifications

• PHR or SPHR certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and/or recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR consultation and guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation and resolution.
• Disseminate and monitor corporate policies, programs and procedures.
• Oversee onboarding to ensure a thorough orientation process.
• Support activities related to laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, E-Verify).
• Monitor temporary labor utilization and facilitate performance management with coaching and training.
• Discuss department structure, staffing, and career progression with management.
• Conduct investigations and participate in disciplinary actions as needed.
• Plan employee engagement events and maintain confidential employee information.
