Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an HR Manager who will partner with local management to drive the human resources agenda for assigned divisions. The role covers staffing, training, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and compensation, aligning with strategic HR initiatives.

The position requires a minimum of 3 years in HR, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 60%. High school diploma or GED is required, with a focus on applying policies consistently and supporting talent

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of directly applicable HR experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager.
• Experience administering staffing, training, employee relations, compliance, benefits and compensation.
• Ability to implement strategic HR initiatives and partner with local management.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advice and consultation to employees and management on performance issues and policy interpretation.
• Implement and monitor HR programs in training, compensation, compliance and benefits.
• Maintain employee data and records including pay, benefits, attendance and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with division operations and HR staff on hiring and employee relations.
• Conduct investigations into employee complaints and participate in management meetings.
• Identify training needs and deliver sessions, including new hire orientation and leadership training.
• Support succession planning and talent management, and oversee HR staff as needed.
• Travel up to 60% may be required.
