Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an HR Generalist to provide guidance to managers and employees on performance, policy interpretation, onboarding, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. The role also covers workforce planning, temporary labor utilization, and HR data analysis.

This position emphasizes employee relations, recruiting support, and coaching to ensure consistent application of policies and effective talent management across the organization.

Qualifications

• PHR or SPHR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience with emphasis on employee relations and/or recruiting activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR consultation to managers and employees on policy interpretation and performance issues.
• Oversee onboarding and orientation processes with management.
• Support compliance with federal and state laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and employment eligibility verification.
• Assist in talent management, performance reviews, and compensation planning within company guidelines.
• Monitor temporary labor utilization and maintain confidential employee information.
