Job summary

AVL Manufacturing USA in Charlotte, NC is seeking an HR Generalist to build the HR foundation at our new facility. You will support daily HR operations, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will handle roughly 800 employees, roll out HR programs, maintain records in the HRIS, and ensure adherence to NC and federal employment laws while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of HR experience.
• Knowledge of US employment law and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the full employee lifecycle.
• Lead onboarding and orientation of new hires.
• Assist employee relations issues.
• Administer timekeeping and attendance.
• Answer employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Maintain employee records in HRIS system (ADP).
• Ensure compliance with labor laws (NC, federal).
• Manage relationships with insurance, HRIS, etc.
• Help roll out HR projects, programs, and events.
