Job summary

Chaminade University of Honolulu invites an HR Generalist to manage daily HR operations, including onboarding, contracts administration, benefits and HRIS support. This role is the face of the department to the university and external vendors.

You will support hiring, background checks, employee engagement, and policy compliance while maintaining confidentiality and aligning with Marianist values. Some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
• At least one year of HR Generalist experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; familiarity with HRIS and ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities

• Run daily HR functions including onboarding, off-boarding, contracts administration, and benefits administration.
• Answer HRIS questions and administer employee engagement programs.
• Assist with hiring: requisitions, interviewing, onboarding; collaborate with managers.
• Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Maintain HRIS data, run reports, and assist with employee events and policy compliance.
