Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to lead recruitment, onboarding, training, policy implementation and employment law compliance in a salaried exempt role.

In this role you will plan recruitment events, screen applicants, conduct interviews, coach managers on discipline, manage workers’ compensation tracking, and deliver training sessions (CPR/First Aid). The organization offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy & procedures, workers' compensation, and benefits.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive records.
• Skilled in computer software for HR record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in recruitment and networking activities and update requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System.
• Post job listings and research new recruitment methods to attract candidates.
• Review applications, conduct interviews, and independently select candidates, schedule follow-ups, and extend offers.
• Conduct background checks, drug screenings, and maintain applicant documentation.
• Lead new employee orientation and coach management on disciplinary procedures.
• Track workers’ compensation claims and liaise with insurers and employees.
