Job summary

The Arc Wayne, a nonprofit organization, seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead workforce strategy, succession planning, and organizational design. You will partner with the CEO and senior leadership to align HR with mission-driven goals and oversee compliance, compensation, benefits, and staff development.

The ideal candidate will have advanced HR leadership experience, a relevant master's degree, and a commitment to equity and trauma-informed practices in high-demand service

Qualifications

• Master's degree with minimum 2 years progressive HR leadership experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years progressive HR leadership experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to CEO and SLT on workforce sustainability, succession planning, and org design.
• Support board-level reporting on workforce metrics and regulatory compliance.
• Develop recruitment strategies for leadership and clinical staff in a competitive labor market.
• Strengthen onboarding, retention, and engagement strategies to reduce turnover.
• Oversee leadership development, succession planning, and career pathways initiatives.
• Ensure performance management reflects accountability and mission alignment.
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and licensing bodies.
• Manage HR policies aligned with accreditation standards and funding requirements.
• Manage HR department budget and staff.
