Job summary

HireTalent seeks an HR Generalist in Employment to support hourly bargaining unit employees and ensure a smooth manufacturing operation. You will administer hourly employment office functions, oversee leave tracking and records management, and implement onboarding for the HBU workforce.

Ideal candidates have HR experience, strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and the ability to engage with management and union officials to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Office) and related tools.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
• 1+ years of experience in HR or related field is preferred.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and Union officials to accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

• Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis and people power management.
• Manage day-to-day Employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, employee questions and records management.
• Implement onboarding orientation sessions for the hourly workforce (HBU).
• Support implementation and execution of lean manufacturing methodology.
• Drive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with administration of national and local collective bargaining agreements.
