Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking an HR Generalist 2 to support HR operations, manage employee and contractor lifecycle, and ensure compliance. The role emphasizes strong organization, detailed work, and independent collaboration across HR programs and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will handle HR ticketing, onboarding/offboarding, I-9 verification, background checks, NDA execution, and HR documentation while delivering a positive employee experience in a diverse, inclusive environment with

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with HRIS or HR software (Workday a plus).
• Previous HR or administrative support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage HR tickets with SLA-driven workflows.
• Support contractor onboarding/offboarding and ensure timely documentation and system access.
• Coordinate onboarding activities including background checks and NDA execution.
• Manage DocuSign contracts and HR agreements.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries.
• Ensure I-9 verification and background checks are compliant.
