Job summary

Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist I in New York City to be the first point of contact for HR, benefits, and employment questions. The role handles initial inquiries, routes complex issues, and documents interactions to improve service to the workforce.

The position is full-time and on-site with travel up to 20% to events and sites. A minimum associate degree and 2+ years in HR support are required, along with experience with HRIS and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 2+ years of HR support with high employee contact.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Experience with HRIS and ticketing system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a non-office workforce.
• Travel up to 20% to hiring events and sites.

Responsibilities

• Answer employee contacts across phone, ticket, and email at first contact.
• Document every contact in the ticketing system with category, resolution, and time to close.
• Complete unemployment documents and other requests as needed.
• Escalate correctly to the business partner, payroll, benefits, recruitment or onboarding with context.
• Support coverage during open enrollment peaks; overtime as approved.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
