Job summary

The Walsh Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an energetic HR Generalist to support the employee lifecycle, benefit administration, onboarding, and policy implementation in our regional office. You will work closely with HR Management to ensure timely recordkeeping and compliance in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in HR or 3–5 years HR experience, 1–3 years Workday experience preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or 3–5 years of HR experience.
• 1–3 years’ Workday experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage demands in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge of HR principles and current federal and state labor laws.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with discretion and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely employee records in all required systems and personnel files, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, rate changes, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries via email or phone, researching and updating records as needed.
• Communicate with employees at all levels professionally while protecting personal information.
• Generate HR reports from the HRIS system and analyze HR metrics as needed.
• Develop HR training material, HIP presentations, and HR newsletter articles.
• Assist with benefit programs, including communication, enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Participate in developing and executing department goals and oversee related projects.
• Complete internal HR Audits as required and ensure compliance (e.g., Form I-9).
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations affecting employment.
