Job summary

Joss Search is partnering with a growing investment management firm in New York to hire an HR Generalist. You will support recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, payroll, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations.

We seek a proactive, detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 3–5 years of HR experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR Operations, or a related field.
• Experience supporting full employee lifecycle (onboarding, benefits, employee relations, HR operations).
• Exposure to payroll administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Administer benefits programs and respond to benefits inquiries.
• Support compensation administration and payroll processes.
• Assist with performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Support employee engagement programs and firm-wide events.
• Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Contribute to workforce planning and broader people initiatives.
• Coordinate recruiting activities and candidate communications.
• Assist with offer preparation and onboarding logistics.
