Job summary

Acupath Laboratories is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to oversee and execute all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and providing strategic HR support. Responsibilities include onboarding, payroll, benefits, ACA, 401(k), and leaves management, with collaboration across the executive team.

The role requires experience in HR management, knowledge of employment law (FMLA, OSHA, labor contracts), and Paycom proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR management with HR program development experience.
• Knowledge of employment law including FMLA, OSHA, labor contracts, and workers’ compensation procedures.
• Paycom experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute all aspects of the employee lifecycle and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Manage full-cycle onboarding with new hire documentation, trainings, and integration.
• Process and review payroll for accuracy while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
• Coordinate with finance and vendors to ensure timely tax filings.
• Manage benefit programs including health, dental, and vision.
• Administer ACA tasks, prepare and distribute 1095-C forms.
• Oversee 401(k) plan administration including enrollment and compliance testing.
• Administer all leaves including FMLA and SDBL.
• Respond to unemployment claims timely and accurately.
• Review, update and implement company policies in alignment with legal requirements.
• Provide HR guidance to employees and managers to foster a positive work environment.
• Conduct investigations, document findings and recommend actions as needed.
• Maintain confidential employee records and work with executives on best practices.
