Job summary

Valley Medical and Wellness in Burnsville, MN is seeking an HR Generalist to manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, records, benefits, leave administration, compliance, payroll backup, and reporting. You will work across HR and vendor systems, partner with senior leaders, and ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and timely execution.

This execution‑driven role emphasizes attention to detail and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or related field; relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience: 3+ years in broad HR generalist/coordination roles with ownership of admin processes.
• Knowledge: Employment law, onboarding, benefits, leave, performance management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment coordination: post openings, source and screen applicants, interview, and communicate with candidates.
• Onboarding: own checklist from offer to start date; coordinate with vendors.
• Employee relations: respond to questions, assist investigations, and document timelines.
• Benefits, leave, payroll: support enrollment, leave programs, and payroll backup.
• Compliance and reporting: assist with audits, filings, and HR reports.
• Policy and operations: draft/apply HR policies; manage offboarding.
• Health and safety: support safety initiatives and incident documentation.
