Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking an HR Specialist to support a distribution center in Moreno Valley, CA. The role covers recruitment, employment documentation, job evaluation, compensation and benefits, and liaison with multiple departments and outside providers.

You will handle onboarding, training coordination, policy updates, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Flexibility to rotate shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years HR experience in employee relations, staffing & selection, compensation & benefits and/or training.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, Labor and Employment laws, FMLA, ADA and OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word for reporting and training materials.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Counsels DC supervisors on EEO, harassment, wage and work condition practices and ensures legal compliance.
• Addresses and documents employee relations issues, recommends discipline or termination as needed.
• Supports recruitment by posting ads, screening, interviewing and extending offers.
• Coordinates employment-related activities and benefits administration with staff.
• Plans orientation, assesses training needs and develops training materials.
• Keeps knowledge current on employment laws and represents the organization in inquiries.
