Job summary

BronxWorks seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, onboarding, and HR operations across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of HR experience, strong written communication, and proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws while partnering with managers to strengthen workforce effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and recruitment.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to address employee performance, conduct, attendance, and workplace concerns.
• Review and provide guidance on performance improvement plans, corrective actions, and evaluations for clarity and consistency.
• Assist managers in developing measurable performance expectations using SMART goals.
• Conduct workplace investigations and prepare summaries, findings, and recommendations.
• Support conflict resolution and provide guidance on supervisory practices.
• Ensure compliance with policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.
