Covenant Transport, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR duties across multiple business units, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits, training, and compliance with employment laws.

You will collaborate with leaders to drive performance and foster a positive workplace culture, handle leave administration, I-9/E-Verify, investigations, and maintain records while supporting payroll and compliance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/HR Management or equivalent work experience required.
• 1-2 years of Human Resource experience required; previous Generalist experience preferred.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials preferred; multi-state experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on HR policies and employee relations issues.
• Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
• Manage leave of absence administration and FMLA/LOA with third-party coordination.
• Conduct investigations with HR leadership and ensure prompt resolution.
• Support I-9 and E-Verify processing and onboarding communications.
• Assist with Benefits Administration and unemployment claims handling.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date team member records.
