Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking an HR Generalist in Phoenix, AZ to audit policies, run reports, and manage implementations across the organization. The role will partner with payroll, benefits, and vendors to ensure accurate labor reporting and compliant HR practices.

You will mentor the HR team, support onboarding and offboarding, and oversee leave administration, investigations, and employee relations in a fast-paced cannabis environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree for HR roles; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years progressive HR experience with 2+ years in senior HR leadership; multi-state experience preferred.
• Hard skills include employment law, investigations, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and leave administration.
• Soft skills include strategic leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on policies and employee relations matters.
• Manage complex employee relations issues, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Lead workers’ compensation processes, including claim intake and return-to-work.
• Partner with payroll to audit hours and ensure accurate labor reporting.
• Administer benefits programs and coordinate with vendors.
• Support FMLA, ADA, and all leave-related processes.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and confidential employee records.
• Lead compliance initiatives across multiple states.
• Mentor HR team and provide training on payroll, benefits and relations.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and general HR operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with cannabis regulations.
