Job summary

Capital Technology Group seeks an HR Generalist to join our People Operations team. You will work with the HR and People Operations Manager on employee relations, compliance across multiple states, and help transition to a new HRIS platform.

You will support leaves, benefits questions, and policy interpretation while maintaining confidential records and providing a trusted resource for employees in a fast-moving federal technology company.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant HR experience with hands-on involvement in employee relations.
• Working knowledge of employment law and experience supporting compliance across multiple states.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Located in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area and willing to work a hybrid schedule (1 day per week in Silver Spring, MD).

Responsibilities

• Support move to a new HRIS platform, including data clean-up, validation, testing, communications and training, and day-to-day administration after launch.
• Monitor employment law requirements in states where CTG has employees and flag changes with policy updates.
• Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, state programs, ADA) and answer benefits questions with the manager.
• Serve as a resource for employees on policy questions and HR processes.
• Coach managers before and after sensitive conversations to ensure consistency and compliance.
