Job summary

LittleStar ABA Therapy is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in Carmel, IN for a full-time hybrid role. The position supports benefits processing, leave management, policy administration, and HR compliance across the organization.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, HR experience in employment/benefits/leave, and knowledge of relevant laws. PHR/SHRM is preferred, along with proficiency in HRIS/ATS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Human Resources experience with employment, benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, H&S and training preferred.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily benefits processing including enrollments, COBRA, terminations and changes.
• Oversee leaves of absence, including FMLA and ADA accommodations, and coordinate accommodations process.
• Handle compensation, benefits and leave-related tasks; conduct disciplinary matters and investigations.
• Assist in disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
• Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Assist in job descriptions, pay plan and compensation analysis.
• Stay up-to-date on federal/state labor laws and maintain documentation for compliance.
• Manage day-to-day HR administrative processes and provide guidance on policies and HR practices.
• Drive HR projects to completion.
• Support HRIS input, reporting, onboarding and policy maintenance.
• Perform data entry into HR systems for hiring, changes and terminations with data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws including EEO-1, inclusion and diversity.
• Complete HR audits as needed and provide turnover/retention reports.
• Assist VP of HR in annual handbook reviews and policy updates.
• Maintain confidentiality per policy and HIPAA rules.
• Promote a positive culture with open communication and teamwork.
