BARNES AEROSPACE in East Hartford is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support payroll, benefits, and HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will administer policies, manage HRIS (UKG), assist in recruitment, and help drive employee relations and compliance efforts. This role requires strong communication and confidentiality, with off-shift support as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Human Resources, preferably in manufacturing.
• 3 years’ experience with HRIS system (UKG preferred).
• Team player with good judgment and relationship-building.
• Willingness to support off-shift employees.
• Self-directed, flexible, able to prioritize.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and commitment.
• Ability to research, analyze and reason logically.
• Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Administer HR policies; liaise between employees and management.
• Manage FAA/DOT compliance protocols for aerospace context.
• Support talent acquisition, recruitment and onboarding.
• Conduct new employee orientations on programs and policies.
• Lead payroll processes with accurate data tracking.
• Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment and ongoing administration.
• Assist HR Manager with wage/salary programs, job descriptions, appraisals.
• Perform HRIS and self-audits (UKG); maintain data integrity.
• Counsel and resolve employee concerns with managers.
• Prepare monthly/annual HR metrics reports.
• Support community and employee relations events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional HR projects.
