State of West Virginia in Charleston seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support payroll, benefits and timekeeping within a regulatory agency. You will handle multiple HR duties under supervision and assist with special projects, aiming to improve efficiency and service delivery.

The role involves training, onboarding, records management and advisory support to management and staff across HR functions. A Bachelor's degree is required; a valid driver's license may be needed.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Graduate coursework may substitute for required experience at the rate of one year of coursework for fifteen semester hours.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent paid professional human resources, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform work across multiple areas of human resources.
• Serve as Payroll & Benefits Coordinator; advise employees on payroll and benefits; disseminate information about changes, deadlines, open enrollment and eligibility; process enrollments and changes in PEIA Access and retirement updates.
• Review personnel action requests for compliance; draft and review HR documents; update UKG entries.
• Provide advice to management and employees on policy matters; consult HR attorney as required.
• Conduct HR training, employee orientation and onboarding.
• Maintain unit and agency records, databases, workflows and related materials.
• Communicate effectively with diverse groups; participate in personnel transactions in systems like wvOasis, HRM, UKG, NeoGov.
• Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, templates, forms and reports using Microsoft Office.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Refer to the Special Salary Range for the Public Service Commission.
