Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our client’s team in Welkom, Free State. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and implement HR initiatives to support business objectives.

You will advise managers on HR policies, maintain accurate HR records, ensure compliance with South African labor law, and help foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture in Welkom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM or related field is required.
• 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist is required.
• Solid knowledge of South African labor law and employment equity.
• Proficiency with HRIS and standard office software (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes from posting to offer.
• Take ownership of onboarding and employee integration.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Handle employee relations, grievances and disciplinary actions with fairness.
• Maintain accurate HR data and ensure legal compliance.

About the Role Our client is seeking a dynamic and adaptable HR Generalist to join their established team in Welkom . This role will encompass a broad spectrum of HR responsibilities, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and supporting HR initiatives. You will be key in ensuring that HR practices are aligned with organizational goals and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture in the Free State . Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job posting to candidate selection and offer extension.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement funds, and leave management.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and other employee relations issues with sensitivity and fairness.
• Maintain accurate employee data and HR records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and programs to support business objectives in Welkom .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a comprehensive HR Generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and employment equity.
• Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and standard office software.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities in the Welkom area.
