Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. has partnered with a growing hospitality organization in Los Angeles to recruit an HR Generalist for a full-time, temp-to-hire, onsite role.

You will own day-to-day HR operations, oversee payroll administration, support recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on HR experience in a fast-paced environment, strong technical skills with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity), and excellent organization and discretion.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience independently managing a broad range of HR responsibilities, including payroll administration and employee relations.
• Strong hands-on payroll experience supporting an hourly workforce; experience with Paylocity or a comparable payroll/HRIS platform is highly valued.
• Experience within hospitality, restaurants, food service, retail, or another fast-paced, employee-focused environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong computer and technology proficiency, including comfort working with spreadsheets, HR systems, reporting, documentation, and multiple technology platforms.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, discretion, communication, and judgment, with the ability to work independently and effectively support employees and managers.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate biweekly payroll administration , including reviewing timecards, PTO, employee changes, payroll inputs, and supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations, including employee relations, compliance, personnel documentation, workers' compensation, leaves, return‑to‑work processes, and employee support.
• Partner with managers on recruiting needs, candidate interviews, onboarding, orientation, performance matters, attendance concerns, and other employee‑related needs.
• Support ongoing hiring initiatives and workforce growth across multiple operational teams while maintaining an organized and positive candidate and employee experience.
• Develop and improve HR processes, policies, documentation, training materials, and manager resources to support consistent and compliant practices.
• Serve as a trusted HR resource by listening objectively to workplace concerns, gathering relevant information, maintaining confidentiality, and providing thoughtful guidance and recommendations.

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Generalist for our partner, a growing hospitality organization with a dynamic, people-focused environment in Los Angeles, CA . This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity that is onsite Monday through Friday .

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional to take ownership of day‑to‑day human resources operations while supporting a growing employee population. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position offers a pay range of $35–$45 per hour , with potential flexibility depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full‑time, temp‑to‑hire opportunity, and eligible temporary employees may access benefits offered through Scion Staffing. The position is onsite in Los Angeles, Monday through Friday, with a consistent daytime schedule.
