Job summary

Custom Staffing, partnering with a local manufacturing company in Lima, OH, is seeking an HR Assistant to support HR operations on a temp-to-hire basis. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Shifts 7:00am–3:30pm, pay rate $23.00 per hour; benefits include weekly pay and medical insurance. The ideal candidate will handle records, onboarding, and HR initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous HR experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer experience: MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Communication: Good written and verbal skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR Operations and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and HR initiatives.
• Investigate and help resolve employee concerns or workplace issues.
• Recruiting, onboarding & orientation: processing employees.
• Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
• Record keeping: process and track benefits, PTO and other documentation.
• Other duties as assigned

Position: HR Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR Operations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
  • maintain and update employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company and legal standards
  • assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and HR initiatives
  • Investigate and help resolve employee concerns or workplace issues
• Recruiting, Onboarding & Orientation: recruiting, interviewing, processing employees
• Communication: communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management regarding HR matters.
• Record Keeping: process and track employee benefits, PTO and other documentation.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in an HR role preffered in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer experience: MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Communication: Good written and verbal skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
