Qualifications

Job description

The Human Resources Generalist: Employee Engagement Specialist will provide support and guidance to one of our most valuable assets – our team members. The Employee Engagement Specialist must recruit, assist in hiring, and develop ways to enhance our employee morale. Our ideal candidate is creative and is excited to collaborate with our team. Responsibilities

• Lead the Eden New Hire Orientation class, provide information to employees regarding resort core values, policies, benefits, and other pertinent information
• Coordinate employee engagement activities throughout the year to improve morale and help demonstrate the resort's core values
• Send communication out, via email or internal messaging boards, to the entire organization or individual departments regarding various topics and events
• Plan information sessions for employees on matters such as open enrollment and 401(k)
• Assist HR Director in conducting investigations, as well as stay and exit interviews
• Meet with employees to address questions regarding policies, benefits, and other HR inquiries
• Provide support to the HR team as needed, assisting with onboarding paperwork, payroll, and inputting new hire information into the HRIS
• Assist with developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates
• Collaborate with managers to understand hiring needs and address personnel matters
• Write, update, and post job ads; review resumes and prescreen qualified candidates
• Connect with local schools and community organizations to promote hiring needs
• Host recruitment events and respond to applicant inquiries
• Act as backup to the HR Director as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Bilingual English/Spanish, a plus
• Strong sourcing and networking skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with hiring managers, team members, and external partners
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong interviewing skills and evaluating candidate qualifications
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• High level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Highly adaptable
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Takes initiative in providing new ideas

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• At least one (1) year of Human Resources experience is required
• A bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources Development, Administration, or any related field is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
