Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks an Operations Analyst – HR: Employment to administer and support activities for the HR Employment area. Responsibilities include data gathering, form management, and transaction entry in PeopleSoft, with a focus on timely, accurate processing and responsive customer service.

You will work within the HR Center of Excellence at 149 Pierrepont St, Brooklyn, NY, and collaborate across teams to improve procedures and ensure compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Gather, validate, and maintain data and inputs.
• Gather forms and track status.
• Enter transactions in PeopleSoft and the service request tool.
• Retrieve, index, and review scanned documents.
• Provide customer service and resolve inquiries.
• Collaborate across COE to document and resolve issues.
• Perform cyclical processing and period-end activities.
• Complete assignments as delegated by supervisor.
• Comply with MTA and COE policies.
• Develop and update operating procedures and training materials.
• Understand MTA/COE vision and how duties fit long-term goals.
• Track and report the status of work.
• Maintain knowledge and participate in training.
• Support team members and ensure high quality within SLAs/KPIs.
• Support additional Employment functions (civil/non-civil processing, UCM, Siebel).
• Adhere to team budget and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in user groups and knowledge management input.
