Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking an HR Data Analyst to maintain accurate, secure HR data and develop insights for workforce decisions. You will partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and Sales to deliver recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with UKG and Cognos BI; SQL knowledge is valued. You will help improve data quality, support audits, and drive data-driven HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with HR data, payroll, benefits, or related data sources.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with UKG and/or Cognos BI is strongly preferred.
• SQL knowledge is preferred; willingness to learn is valued.
• Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and trends.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and distribute HR reports for stakeholders.
• Support headcount, turnover, recruitment, and payroll reporting.
• Use UKG and Cognos BI to extract and present HR data.
• Build Excel-based reports, templates, and data validation.
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to define reporting needs.
• Review data for completeness and coordinate corrections.
• Assist with data audits and compliance reporting.
• Support HR technology projects and reporting enhancements.
• Create and maintain reporting documentation and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and improve access.
