Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of The Inland Empire is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, and staffing for respite, after-school, and administrative programs in Palm Desert, CA. The role partners with HR leadership to ensure compliant hiring and smooth employee lifecycle management.

The position requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field (SHRM-CP/PHR preferred) and 2–3 years in HR or recruitment, with bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable and strong MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years in recruitment, staffing, or HR, preferably nonprofit/healthcare.
• Experience recruiting caregivers or service-based roles preferred.
• Knowledge of onboarding and I-9 compliance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS such as ADP.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems such as ADP.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for respite workers, caregivers, after-school program staff, and administrative positions.
• Coordinate onboarding and employment compliance requirements.
• Support employee lifecycle activities including staffing transitions and separations.
• Prepare new hire documentation and maintain personnel files.
• Enter employee information into HRIS (ADP or other).
• Schedule and coordinate new hire orientation.
• Respond to employee HR inquiries and maintain confidentiality.
