JOB SUMMARY Assist with the new employee hiring process by collecting all new hire completed paperwork and I9 documentation. Inform applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits and duties. Assist with the hiring process for new employees. Respond to all employment reference and verification inquiries. Assist with the coordination of Hospital Orientation. Perform all clerical functions including typing, mailings, distribution of memos and other correspondence, maintenance of personnel records, departmental records/reports and department inventory and supplies. Complete reports and audits as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in hospital survey process, performance evaluations, open enrollments and other special projects.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education: Bachelor degree required.
Experience: 2+ years experience in HR related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification: none
Knowledge: Must be detail-oriented and work well independently. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Typing ability of 45+ wpm, knowledge of Word required, Excel, Access and Human Resource Information Systems/Database and ATS System preferred.
Supervision Received: Director of Human Resources/Human Resources Manager
Supervision Exercised: None
Line of Promotion: Human Resources Generalist
Working Conditions: Works in Human Resources office and travels to other areas of the Hospital. Possible exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste. General hospital environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Push, pull and lift up to 35 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Repetitive typing/keying.
