Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to provide facility-wide HR support for all employees. You will engage with staff at the site, streamline recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts, and ensure compliance across employment processes.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with facility managers to improve workforce outcomes while maintaining confidential HR practices.

Qualifications

• ATS administration and candidate flow management
• Experience supporting HR operations and compliance
• Knowledge of I-9, tax forms, background checks, scheduling

Responsibilities

• Monitor applicant flow daily in the ATS and coordinate with the recruiter.
• Update applicants daily in the ATS.
• Assist department managers with employee retention planning.
• Complete employment processes for new hires (I-9, tax forms, license verification, references, background checks, fingerprinting scheduling, drug screening scheduling).
• Schedule and assist with new hire orientation.
• Ensure Employee Problem Resolution Process is followed and report results.
• Complete injury reports.
• Complete benefit enrollment and follow ups.
• Maintain up-to-date employment documents.
