Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to optimize nursing staffing and scheduling in a Michigan long-term care facility. You will ensure staffing adheres to state ratios and support Nursing Management with clerical duties.

The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work with residents, staff, and regulatory bodies, while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years office administrative experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules for the nursing department to ensure state-mandated staffing ratios.
• Monitor overtime and adjust staffing daily according to census needs.
• Maintain daily roster sheets for each shift.
• Review time clock punches and schedules; obtain supervisor approvals as needed.
• Retrieve, organize and store staffing forms and schedules.
• Complete weekly staffing reports and provide to corporate.
• Maintain RN coverage and staffing ratios; post staffing as required.
• Attend facility meetings and participate in continuing education opportunities.
