Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services is seeking an HR Compliance Specialist II based in New York. This role focuses on wage and hour compliance, timekeeping administration, and payroll governance across multi-state operations, acting as a liaison between Legal, HR, Payroll, and Operations.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of workforce compliance experience, deep knowledge of FLSA, and the ability to audit, assess risk, and guide operations. Base salary ranges from $70,000 to $83,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in workforce compliance, payroll administration, human resources, payroll, time and attendance, or workforce management or related field.
• Experience with FLSA, wage laws, and multistate compliance.
• Ability to audit, investigate, and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive monthly audits of timekeeping, scheduling, and payroll records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, collective bargaining agreements where applicable, and company policies.
• Evaluate manager-initiated timekeeping adjustments to identify compliance risks and ensure accurate employee compensation.
• Audit meal and rest period compliance, attestation records, and related documentation to mitigate risk.
• Serve as primary compliance resource for regional leaders on scheduling, overtime, and workforce administration issues.
• Lead implementation of changes in labor and employment regulations, including state and municipal wage laws and predictive scheduling requirements.
• Design and deliver mandatory training sessions on FLSA requirements and state meal/rest break regulations.
