Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is seeking an HR Compliance Specialist II to serve as the primary subject matter expert for wage and hour compliance, timekeeping administration, and payroll governance across multi-state operations. You will partner with Legal, HR, Payroll and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance and provide guidance to regional leaders.

The role is based in Jamaica, NY, with up to 50% travel, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, 401(k) matching,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in workforce compliance or payroll.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and wage laws.
• Ability to interpret regulations, assess risk, and apply compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Conduct monthly audits of timekeeping, scheduling, and payroll records for compliance.
• Evaluate timekeeping adjustments to identify compliance risks.
• Audit meal and rest period compliance and related documentation.
• Serve as primary compliance resource for regional leaders on scheduling and pay issues.
• Lead implementation of changes in wage laws and scheduling regulations.
• Design and deliver mandatory training on FLSA requirements and meal/rest break regulations.
• Provide coaching on compliant timecard approval practices and processes.
• Lead investigations related to wage and hour concerns and payroll discrepancies.
