Job summary

Stripe is seeking a People Operations Specialist, HR Compliance to join our Global People Operations team. The role focuses on complex operational challenges and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle, enabling HR transformation through data-driven insights and close collaboration with COEs.

You will own audits, optimize processes, manage regulatory filings, and maintain HRIS data accuracy in Workday, while developing SOPs and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, operations, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in HR compliance, People Operations, or employment law support with direct ownership of compliance obligations.
• Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience managing or supporting external audits, including evidence gathering and cross-functional coordination.
• Technical aptitude with Workday and Salesforce or similar ticketing system.
• Working knowledge of US employment compliance requirements: I-9/E-Verify, EEO-1 filing, state pay equity reporting, labor law posting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Audits and controls management: participate in recurring compliance audits (SOX, HR security controls, external audits).
• Process optimization and data-driven improvement: propose enhancements to HR processes and workflows, derive insights from data.
• Regulatory filing management: track and execute recurring compliance filings and maintain calendars.
• Stakeholder and COE partnership: collaborate with cross-functional teams and COEs to ensure compliance obligations are met.
• HRIS management: maintain accuracy of HRIS (Workday) with manual and bulk data entry.
• SOP development and documentation: create and update end-to-end SOPs.
• Vendor management: manage compliance vendor relationships including renewals and SLA oversight.
• Navigating ambiguity: act decisively using Stripe principles and stakeholder perspectives.
