Job summary

Stripe is seeking a senior leader for People Operations to establish and scale the People Support function in CDMX. You will translate global strategies into a practical local operating model, lead a small specialist team, and drive process improvements across case handling, data accuracy, and privacy.

You will collaborate with People, People Systems, and cross-functional partners to ensure scalable service delivery.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in People operations or related field with 2+ years leading others.
• A degree or postgraduate qualification in human resources or equivalent.
• Experience building or developing a new team, service, location, or operating model.
• Experience managing case queues, escalations, and service levels.
• Experience driving operational improvements or implementing global initiatives locally.
• Familiarity with People systems and case-management tools (e.g., Workday).
• Understanding of core People processes: data, benefits, mobility, equity, compensation, exits.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the newly-formed People Support team in CDMX, translating the global Core Ops strategy into an effective local operating model.
• Lead and develop a small team People Support specialists through clear expectations, regular coaching, actionable feedback, and quality calibration.
• Establish local team practices, coverage, escalation paths, and ways of working that integrate with the global People Support organization.
• Manage daily operations, including queue health, workload allocation, service levels, and escalations, while contributing during ramp periods.
• Use service metrics and feedback to set priorities, identify root causes, and improve workflows and user experience.
• Partner with People, People Systems, and other teams to clarify ownership and implement global initiatives locally.
• Maintain high standards for case handling, written responses, documentation, data accuracy, privacy, and controls.
• Identify opportunities to expand the CDMX team’s capabilities and use AI thoughtfully to scale.
